Privacy Policy
Updated: September 2026
Socialia Media takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used and what your rights are under Quebec's Law 25.
01
Information Collected
Two types of information are collected on this site.
What you send us. The information you voluntarily enter in our contact form: name, business name, email address, phone number, solution of interest and message. If you chat with our virtual assistant, the content of the conversation and any contact details you choose to provide (name, email, phone) are collected. If you book a meeting in our online calendar, the information you enter there is collected by Calendly.
What is collected automatically. Browsing data collected by Google Analytics: pages viewed, time spent, device type, browser, traffic source and approximate region derived from your IP address. Google Analytics assigns a random identifier to your browser. We do not link it to any personally identifying information.
02
Use of Information
Contact form information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. It is forwarded to us by email and is not kept in any database.
Conversations with the virtual assistant are used to answer your questions and, if you leave your contact details, to follow up on your request.
Browsing data is used only to understand how the site is used and to improve it. It is not used for targeted advertising, profiling or resale.
03
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to measure traffic. The service places cookies on your device and sends browsing data to Google. Socialia Media does not use this data for advertising or profiling.
The virtual assistant stores a random identifier in your browser's local storage so the conversation carries over from page to page. That identifier contains no personally identifying information.
You can refuse these cookies at any time by blocking or deleting them in your browser settings, or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out add-on provided by Google. The site remains fully functional if you refuse them.
04
Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. It is shared only with the providers required to operate the site:
- Websie, which forwards contact form messages to our email inbox and provides the site's virtual assistant;
- Google Analytics, for site traffic measurement;
- Calendly, only if you choose to book a meeting. The information you enter there is processed under Calendly's own privacy policy.
No other information is transmitted to business partners or advertisers.
05
Data Retention
Messages received by email are kept only for as long as necessary to follow up on your request, in accordance with Quebec's Law 25 on the protection of personal information.
Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for the period set in our account settings, then deleted automatically.
06
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
07
Your Rights (Law 25)
Under Law 25, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. You may also withdraw your consent to analytics at any time by blocking cookies in your browser.
To exercise these rights, contact us at info@socialiamedia.ca.
08
Changes
We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes take effect upon publication on this page.
